The centipede was a species of a animal introduced to Arrakis by the planetologist Pardot Kynes.[1]

- Centipede are mentioned in the 2024 film Dune: Part Two. Stilgar tells Paul "Watch out for centipedes. Not the big ones; they're harmless. But the little ones. [holds his hands two feet apart] They'll kill you."
