A Desert hare was a leporid found and bred on the planet Arrakis during the ecological transformation of that planet by Planetologist Pardot Kynes.[1] It would let out a loud scream as it died.[2] The predators of the Desert Hare included desert owls, desert hawks, dwarf owls and eagles.[3] Roast desert hare was a popular dish on Arrakis.[4]
