Behind the scenes
- It was director Denis Villeneuve's idea to have Paul and Yueh speak an ancient language. It was then decided that Mandarin should be the language spoken since Yueh 'represented someone from Asia'.[3]
- The final shooting draft for Dune contains slightly different dialogue: "I am only a doctor of the Suk School. But I know a little of the Bene Gesserit. They say they exist to serve -- but, meaning no disrespect to your lady mother -- they also serve their own designs."[4]
