A scorpion - Frank Herbert's Children of Dune

A scorpion was an animal introduced to the planet Arrakis by Pardot Kynes.[1] They were often hunted by Fremen children as entertainment.[2][3][4] Scorpions survived the terraforming of the planet and were still a common site in 15229 AG.[4]
