Seban was the innermost planet of Canopus system. It had a mean radius of 2,380 km (much smaller in radius than Menaris) and orbits Canopus at a mean distance of 52 million km.

Seban was massive enough to hold an atmosphere, but the proximity to Canopus and the intense coronal winds effectively drove it into space. The coronal wind at times of closest approach to Canopus created a very tenuous cloud of ionized metals and gases (chiefly highly kinetic ions of iron, irenium, and melorium) which populated the trailing orbital space..

The existence of this ionic cloud was discovered by the second Dren series planetary probe during a survey of the Seban nearspace.

No life has been detected on Seban.
